T62 Tank
T62 Tank
1/35 Scale
The next step up from the Soviets famous T-55 tank was the T-62. Incorprating a larger and more advanced 115mm main gun, the T-62 also had more armour. The design of the T-55 and T-62 has been so successfull that it is still in use around the world with many counries upgrading there vehciles rather than replace them. Some improvments include additional turret armour, anti-aircraft machine guns, laser rangefinders, and additioanl hull armour. While no longer considered a fornt line vehicle, the T-62 was the reason many countries created many modern MBTs.
ISU-152 Self-propelled assault gun
ISU-152
1/35 scale
A Soviet WWII era self propelled 152mm assault gun, the ISU-152. Based on the IS series chassis, a massive 152mm artillery piece was placed inside a armoured casement to create what the soviets called a Zverboi...an animal beater (from all the German Panthers, Tigers, and Elephants it destroyed.) So massive was the shell it shot that while the shell may not penetrate the enemy tank, it might knock the turret OFF the tank. These vehicles were also invaluable as bunker busters and close support for infantry.

TOS-1 Heavy flame rocket system
TOS-1
1/35 Scale
The Russian TOS-1 burratino (Pinnochio). This is listed by the russians as a Heavy flame rocket system. IT was designed to be a short range infantry support rocket system, expecially in urban and fortified areas. It launches a 220mm rocket that has a thermobaric warhead (fuel-air explosive) that produces a tremendous overpressure shockwave, or a napalm (gelled-fuel fire) warhead. This system is currently the most potent and modern "bunker buster" for the infantryman.
BMP-2D
BMP-2D
1/35 scale
A BMP-2D early without the additional anti-radiation armor and lining. The BMP-2 was a improvement over the older BMP-1 with the change to a larger 2-man turret with a 30mm auto-cannon. With the new second generation AT-4/5 ATGM systems but still retaining the BMP series low ground pressure, low silhouette, and amphibious capability, this was a dangerous potential foe on the Cold War front lines.
